Summary
Cisco Webex Services Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities

Notes

Summary
Multiple vulnerabilities in Cisco Webex could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack. These vulnerabilities are due to improper filtering of user-supplied input. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by persuading a user to follow a malicious link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting attack against the targeted user. Cisco has addressed these vulnerabilities in the service, and no customer action is necessary to update on-premises software or devices. There are no workarounds that address the vulnerabilities.
Vulnerable Products
These vulnerabilities affect Cisco Webex, which is cloud based.
Products Confirmed Not Vulnerable
Only products listed in the Vulnerable Products ["#vp"] section of this advisory are known to be affected by these vulnerabilities.
Workarounds
There are no workarounds that address these vulnerabilities.
Fixed Software
Cisco has addressed these vulnerabilities in Cisco Webex, which is cloud based. No user action is required. Customers who need additional information are advised to contact the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) or their contracted maintenance providers.
Vulnerability Policy
To learn about Cisco security vulnerability disclosure policies and publications, see the Security Vulnerability Policy ["http://www.cisco.com/web/about/security/psirt/security_vulnerability_policy.html"]. This document also contains instructions for obtaining fixed software and receiving security vulnerability information from Cisco.
Exploitation and Public Announcements
The Cisco Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) is not aware of any public announcements or malicious use of the vulnerabilities that are described in this advisory.
Source
Cisco would like to thank Prasenjit Kanti Paul (BongHaxor) for reporting these vulnerabilities.
